I’ve some exciting, retail-oriented news for all business travelers out there – Samsill, one of the biggest and most trusted manufacturing corporations in the world, has made available the brand new Microsoft Traveler Laptop Backpack. It’s supposedly designed for “the casual business professional with a mobile lifestyle”, which more or less describes yours truly, so who better to review this backpack and determine if really delivers on its promise!
Good Protection
Good protection should always be prioritized over everything else when it comes to selecting a laptop bag. This is especially so if you intend to lug it around during your travels, when the probability of rough handling is higher and the laptop stored inside is more vulnerable to damage.
Putting that into consideration, I’m glad to report that the Traveler Laptop Backpack comes with a sufficiently-padded laptop sleeve that can accommodate notebook computers with 15.6’’ widescreens or smaller. The back and shoulder straps also come with air-flow padding that absorbs shock and reduces – if not eliminate entirely – harm caused by impact.
The bag even comes with an additional storage compartment with a fold-down bottom stabilizer panel. This panel is water-resistant, which means that you can store books, files and even clothes without worry that water will seep through and ruin your belongings on a rainy day.
Ample Storage Space
When I travel, I want the luxury of having all of my important things with me wherever I go, yet still have my hands free to reply messages on my iPhone or hold onto a fresh cup of Starbucks coffee. Thus, sufficient storage space is an important consideration when buying a laptop backpack.
