This position is responsible for maximizing sales by building relationships with current and potential customers, cross-selling products, answering product and service questions, and ensuring that customers’ orders are promptly and accurately priced, produced, and shipped. The success of this position is based on account retention and growth. Account management includes processing orders, preparing correspondences, responding quickly with timely and accurate information, and fulfilling customer needs to ensure customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Demonstrates and delivers high levels of service as the initial point of customer contact and ongoing partner in developing strong customer relationships and setting expectations for the customer experience

  • Prepare Bids and Quotes for current and prospective customer

  • Persistent Bid and quote follow thru, including monitoring bid close ratio and identifying reasons for winning and losing bids and quotes

  • Performs customer assessment, determines customer standing, and takes appropriate initiative to understand and properly document customer service requests using appropriate company forms

  • Prepares appropriate documentation for new and existing projects detailing specific and relevant customer data and financials

  • Obtains and verifies customer orders for completeness and accuracy, determines readiness for project starts and agreed upon completion dates

  • Ensures customer projects are manufactured according to project specification

  • Regularly monitors and reviews reports for project status and follow-up with customers as needed

  • Takes appropriate initiative to problem solve and escalates issues to operations leadership as necessary and in a timely manner

  • Upsells and markets Samsill’s value add services and products

  • Performs outbound selling

  • Works closely with wholesalers

  • Researches parts availability and costing

  • Supports the sourcing process by building relationships with suppliers, negotiating cost,s and developing agreements

  • Supports the Operations team members and Company leaders as needed

  • Participates in weekly meetings with Operations team members

  • Establishes and maintains healthy working relationships with all company employees and client representatives

  • Demonstrate a professional, respectful, and courteous demeanor towards all employees, guests, and company visitors at all times; and

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree or credit hours earned towards bachelor’s degree is a plus

  • 2-5 years’ relevant work experience

  • Ability to deliver high level of customer service

  • Excellent time management skills

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

  • Detail-oriented, very organized, ability to multitask

  • Problem solving initiative

  • Computer literacy, working knowledge of MS Word, Excel

  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15-$19 per hour
