Keyboards are more than likely the last thing you worry about cleaning. But if you’ve ever actually taken a good look between the keys, it can get pretty nasty. This simple recipe for cleaning slime is cost effective and fun to make. And it’s great for kids if they like to get a little messy.
- Elmer’s glue
- Food color (optional but fun)
- Plastic bag
First you will want to add a 1/2 cup of water to the first bowl. Then mix 1/2 teaspoon of Borax into it.
In the second bowl, add 2 ounces or half of a bottle of Elmer’s glue. Add 1/4 cup of water to the glue.
You can add about 4 drops of food coloring to the glue and water mixture if you want to.
Add the Borax/water mixture from the other bowl and call your kids in to get their hands messy because you will need to knead the mixture.
It will start to clump together. There will be left over water in the bowl which you can pour out. Continue to play with the mixture until it no longer sticks to your hands.
Now you can clean your gross keyboard or store it in a plastic bag. Add some water if it starts to dry out.
That’s gross!! but it works.
